After dropping a surprise album with wife Beyoncé here, Jay-Z has added a new title to name. He has been appointed as the new creative director for PUMA Basketball operations. He will lead in brand marketing campaigns, identifying talent and more.
The decision was made on Monday, after PUMA signed NBA draft prospects DeAndre Ayton, Marvin Bagley III, and Zhaire Smith to its roster. Jay’s Roc Nation has a history of dealing with PUMA including Rihanna who has signature pieces with the brand.
“I can confirm that according to his deal with PUMA, JAY Z’s official designation is Creative Director. I referred to him today (as president of basketball) by an informal designation.” — Adam Petrick, Puma’s global director of brand and marketing
